Kota Kai permanently closed in September 2024

Kota Kai is a coffee shop in West Asheville, NC. It’s a charming shop with a few seats by the windows up front and additional seating in the back. You have to go through old telephone booth doors to get back there! This is also where the restrooms are located.

They have a full espresso menu, cold brew, nitro and several specials. They are also one of the few coffee shops in Asheville that offer a pour over.

Kota Kai is in the former Bean Werks space. You can still buy bulk coffee here– local Asheville Coffee Library roasts it. Actually, they are the ones behind the coffee shop!
