Ziplining Near Asheville
Located near Saluda, NC, The Gorge Zipline is one of Western North Carolina’s best ziplining destinations. It has a lush forest canopy and spectacular mountain views.
It’s a well designed zipline course, which honestly isn’t always the case!
The Gorge offers multiple ziplining tours. The Canopy Tour includes 11 ziplines spanning 1.25 miles with 3 tall vertical rappels and one sky bridge. It typically takes 3 – 3.5 hours to complete.
The Gorge also offers a shorter course called The Quick Flight. It takes about 1 to 1.5 hours to complete.
The suggested minimum age for ziplining at The Gorge is 10 years old.
The Adventure Center of Asheville has ziplining right in the heart of Asheville. They offer two ziplining options, the Zipline Canopy Tours and Kid Zip. Guests must be eight or older to participate in the Zipline Canopy Tour and Kid Zip is specially designed for kids aged 4 to 10.
There are two tours available for the Zipline Canopy Tour:
The Asheville Zipline Tour includes 9 ziplines and one skybridge and takes about 2 hours to complete.
The second abbreviated Asheville Skyline Tour includes 5 ziplines and takes about 1 hour to complete.
Kid Zip is a separate dedicated zipline course designed specifically for kids. There are 9 ziplines and 4 climbing structures on the course which takes about 1.5 to 2 hours to complete. It’s an exceptionally fun things to do with kids in Asheville.

Canopy Ridge Farm is a great spot for the outdoor adventure with an exhilarating zipline course near Lake Lure. You’ll be awed by the long range mountain views and you fly through the lush forest canopy.
Their zipline adventure tour includes 6 zip lines that are up to 100 feet high. The tour typically takes about 1.5 hours to complete.
Participants must be ages 4 and up.
Canopy Ridge Farm is open March through December.

French Broad Adventures is an outdoor outfitter with multiple locations in the Asheville area. They offer guided outdoor activities including whitewater rafting, ziplining and e-mountain biking at their Marshall outpost.
Their Zipline Canopy Tour is a popular options and includes zips, rappels, short hikes and a canopy bridge. The tour typically takes 2 to 3 hours to complete.
Zipline participants at French Broad Adventures must weigh in between 70 and 250 lbs.
Ziplining is available from March through October.

Nantahala Outdoor Center is a 500 acre property in Bryson City, NC that offers a myriad of outdoor adventures in addition to ziplining. Ages allowed vary by course, and we have detailed that below.
The most loved zipline course at Nantahala Outdoor Center is their Mountaintop Zipline Tour. It culminates in a 2,000 foot zip. Participants of the Mountaintop Zipline Tour must be 10 years or older.
NOC also offers a shorter Zip Line Adventure Park — an aerial ropes challenge course with zip lines. Children must be 6 years or older to participate.
They also have Treetop Adventure Nets course for ages 3 and up. Ziplining is available from March through November.
