Roy Pope Memorial Park

Roy Pope Memorial Park is a park in Woodfin, NC just by the elementary school. It’s home to a great playground that has something for all ages. It’s one of the best playgrounds in Asheville— and even though it’s in a different city, it’s only 10 minutes from downtown Asheville.

There are multiple play areas, including a shaded sandbox, the “Avery’s Little Corner” castle, swings (infant & ADA options) and climbing structures.

You’ll also find a large spiderweb-like climbing structure here that is great for older kids.

There’s a covered picnic area on the side and you can reserve the park shelter in advance if planning an event.
