About Asheville City Market
The Asheville City Market is a farmers market in downtown Asheville. It’s held on Saturday mornings between Woodfin Street and Walnut Street. As the city’s largest weekly farmers market, it’s a great way to get your weekend started!
You’ll find a ton of local farmers at the City Market (it’s a producer-only market.) Their offerings vary with the season (that’s the benefit of buying local!), but you can count on being able to stock up on weekly provisions. You’ll find produce and meat available at the local farm stands.
As far as non-farmer vendors go, the City Market has several! You’ll often see vendors selling ready-made food items like handmade pasta, dumplings, pimento cheese and freshly made bread. You can also typically find a bouquet of flowers when in season.
The City Market is a great place to bring kids and dogs and enjoy downtown Asheville while strolling and browsing all of the excellent goods that vendors have to offer.
Market hours: Saturday mornings 9 am to 12 pm (April to December) and 10 am to 1 pm (January to March). It’s closed the last two weeks of the year.
Parking: Free parking can be found at the Family Justice Center lot and the HomeTrust Bank lot.
