Carrier Park is located along the French Broad River Greenway in West Asheville. You’ll find tons of walking space, a playground, basketball court, sand volleyball courts, a velodrome and a hockey rink.
The playground at Carrier Park has a toddler section next to the larger play area. You’ll find baby swings, a wooden firetruck, a wooden airplane, climbing structure and dual slides in this area. Next to it, you’ll find a bigger wooden castle structure. There are two slides that come off of it, as well as bridges to cross, a rock climbing area, tons of monkey bars and rings to climb across.
The playground, sand volleyball courts, hockey rink and basketball court are tucked inside of the Velodrome. You have to cross a wooden ramp structure to get to it. Restrooms are located near the ramp’s entrance.
