Mehfil

Mehfil is a wonderful upscale restaurant in Asheville serving traditional Indian food. Their menu features favorites like butter chicken and tandoori chicken, as well as more unique dishes like lamb vindaloo. Their signature dish, Chicken Mehfil, is a chicken curry in tomato and onion sauce. All entrees come with rice.

One thing we love about Mehfil is that they have fun variations of classic menu items, like six kinds of rice! The lemon rice and keema rice with smoked lamb are both delicious. They also have several types of naan, including garlic naan (a must-try!), rosemary naan, bullet naan with spicy green chilies and even a sweet peshawari naan.

Some of the dishes are spicier than you’d expect, so we recommend not going too strong on your order and adding additional spices as needed.

Mehfil is relaxed with colorful artwork and umbrellas hanging from above, yet it’s also elegant with white tablecloths and impressive service.
