Mellow Mushroom

Mellow Mushroom is a pizza place with outdoor seating in downtown Asheville. It’s located on the corner of Broadway and Walnut, which is a great spot for people-watching.

Not only is the location great, but the food is too! Their stone-baked pizzas are basted with garlic butter and sprinkled with Parmesan for a signature Mellow Mushroom taste. We love their Holy Shiitake Pie and the Kosmic Karma that is finished with a pesto swirl. Their signature Esperanza dressing is also delicious, especially on the Greek salad.

Mellow Mushroom has several locations around the southeast (and further), each with its own local and unique feel. This one is pretty cool inside, with towering ceilings, booths, a bar area where you can grab a seat and an overall futuristic feel. The bar has a ton of local beer on tap, too.
