Session Cafe and Bar

Session Cafe is a hidden gem in downtown Asheville. Located just across from the Grove Arcade, this locally-loved spot is a great place to work remotely, dine on delicious food, or catch up with friends. It’s like a coffee shop, cafe and upscale bar all rolled into one. And there’s also a record press, plant shop and print shop in the same space. Almost sounds too good to be true!

We love the outdoor seating at Session because there are umbrellas, great views of the Grove Arcade and it’s a nice spot for kids where we don’t feel like we are bothering anyone. Inside, you’ll find a ton of seating both at ground level and upstairs.

Our favorite menu items at Session are the egg salad sandwich and grilled cheese, though everything we have tried has been excellent!

There’s also the Citizen Vinyl record shop and factory and you can buy a fun house plant from Rosarina Plant Shop!
