12 Bones Smokehouse – River

12 Bones is a popular BBQ joint in the River Arts District serving the best ribs in Asheville. It’s also President Obama’s go-to on his Asheville visits. They have several bbq varieties, but we especially love their brown sugar-rubbed ribs. Their corn pudding is also A+.

Located in the Foundy Street area of the River Arts District, 12 Bones is next to Wedge Brewing at Foundation and across from Summit Coffee. You can take it to go and sit at Wedge Brewing, which is a great kid-friendly brewery. 12 Bones also has a south Asheville location in Arden.
