12 Bones Smokehouse – River

This popular BBQ joint has the best ribs in Asheville and is President Obama’s go-to on his Asheville visits. They have several varieties of bbq, but we really love their brown sugar-rubbed ribs. Their corn pudding is also A+.

Located in the Foundy Street area of the River Arts District, 12 Bones is near Wedge Brewing at Foundation, Summit Coffee, Marquee and tons of shops and art galleries. 12 Bones also has a south Asheville location in Arden.

Make sure you check the hours on their website before you head over. They are closed on Saturdays and Sundays and open 11:30 am to 4:30 pm on weekdays.
