Asheville Habitat for Humanity ReStore

The Asheville Habitat ReStore is a treasure trove for budget-conscious homeowners and DIY enthusiasts, offering a wide array of gently used and surplus building materials, furniture, and home goods.

The ReStore is more than just a thrift store, though. It’s a vital part of Habitat for Humanity’s mission to provide affordable housing in the Asheville area. They operate on a donation-based model, receiving items from individuals, businesses, and contractors. Inventory is constantly changing, so each visit is a unique shopping experience.

Their Asheville location was devastated by hurricane floodwaters in September 2024 and remained closed through the winter. Luckily, they were able to reopen and are back to providing for the community!

There’s a second ReStore location in Fletcher, NC, just a few miles south of South Asheville.
