Archetype Brewing and Kitchen permanently closed in December 2023
Archetype announced on Instagram in December 2023 that they were closing their North AVL and South Slope locations. Archetype’s West Asheville location is still open.
Archetype Brewing’s third location in Asheville is perhaps our favorite location of theirs. They opened their South Slope spot in the summer of 2023 and it was the perfect addition to the brewery district.
If you aren’t familiar, Archetype obsesses over their beer in a wonderful way. Their process is inspired by Belgian brewing practices and they make a point to use local suppliers. The result is a unique, complex beer (and the branding matches!)
Not only can you expect their epic brews at the South Slope location but they also have an in-house kitchen and a rooftop restaurant. Their food menu includes top-notch pizzas, a smash burger and a few small bites.
Seating is available downstairs with roll-up doors, on the second floor or upstairs at the partially covered rooftop patio. Enjoy views of South Slope rarely seen!
