While nearby Asheville is known for its amazing amount of breweries, small-town Brevard actually has some awesome breweries, too. While there aren’t many in number, each brewery is unique and worth a visit.
What’s especially great about Brevard is that you can get to a few breweries via the Brevard Bike Path. Brewery hopping on a bike– what a fun way to spend a day!

Where To Have Great Beer In Brevard, NC
Below is a map of the breweries highlighted in our guide. As you’ll see there is one brewery in downtown Brevard, a few in the Lumber Arts district, and the rest are located toward Pisgah, Forest, NC.

Hurricane Update: Oskar Blues is operating on their normal hours following Hurricane Helene. And in even better news, they are still doing live music!
Awesome brewery with live music, great brews, and just off the Brevard Bike Path
Oskar Blues Brewery is a brewery and brewpub in Brevard, NC. It’s a popular spot, with great outdoor seating, regular live music events, corn hole tournaments, trivia and more.
The best part about Oskar Blues is that it’s on the Brevard Bike Path. The Bike Path has a paved trail from downtown Brevard to the sports complex, and an unpaved section alongside the Davidson River in Pisgah National Forest. You can hop off and quickly ride to Oskar Blues from an offshoot on the paved portion.
Oskar Blues has a permanent food truck (Chubwagon) that serves a variety of burgers, as well as hot dogs, fries, grilled cheese and chicken nuggets.
As far as brews go, you’ll find several small-batch beers that are offered only in the taproom. They also have a variety of craft seltzers from their sister brand Wild Basin Hard Seltzers.
Outdoor seating, on-site tacos and beer flights at this Brevard brewery
Ecusta Brewing has a brand new brewery and taproom located under a mile from the entrance to Pisgah National Forest. The space is very large with indoor and outdoor seating and mountain views.
With 20 taps in their taproom there is a beer style for everyone. And they offer beer flights if you want to sample a variety!
Located just off the Brevard Bike Path, its easily accessible from town and other breweries if you want to brewery hop.
Be sure to check out Gordingo’s Tacos inside. And don’t miss the Bavarian cream-filled churros! They are open daily except Tuesday and serve up delicious Mexican comfort food!
Downtown brewery with a flagship pilsner
Brevard Brewing Company is the only brewery in downtown Brevard. And it’s a beer-first kind of place. In fact, they don’t even offer food! But they do allow food and there are plenty of restaurants in Brevard that offer takeout.
As far as beer goes, try their signature American Premium Lager. It’s their lightest offering. Brevard Brewing Company’s flagship beer is their Bohemian Pilsner. It’s made with noble hops imported from the Czech Republic and Germany.
They also have wine and cider available, as well as soda.
Brevard brewery with live music, awesome food and tasty brews
Located in Brevard’s trendy Lumber District, Noblebräu is a great little brewery worth checking out. Co-located with their sister venue 185 King Street, the backyard atmosphere with live music venue is a great place to relax for an afternoon or evening.
They have a range of delicious brews on tap including their Hausbier German pilsner, several IPAs, a stout, a porter and so much more!
You’ll also find a great pub food menu with various sandwiches, fries and giant pretzel. Try their burger- you won’t be disappointed!
Noblebräu is located just next to Vescovo Neighborhood Eatery, which is a small and cozy place with excellent steak. We recommend it for a date night– you can read more about it in our fine dining in Brevard guide.
Hurricane Update: Retail, the tavern and service are all back to regular hours after Hurricane Helene. The Velvet Cup and food trucks are also on site.
Bike shop with a tavern just outside Pisgah National Forest
The Hub is a well-known bike shop and tavern located at the entrance to Pisgah National Forest near Brevard, NC.
It’s a fan-favorite for a cold beer after a tough ride in the Forest. Check out what’s on tap at Pisgah Tavern.
What’s great is that The Hub offers bike rentals, so you don’t even need to bring your own! The staff is knowledgeable of both the sport and the area, and it all has a great community feel. You will never want to leave!
The Hub has a daily food truck and the Velvet Cup coffee truck is permanently parked there as well.
