Buxton Chicken Palace

Buxton Chicken Palace serves the absolute best chicken sandwiches we’ve ever had. It’s located inside the S&W Market, which is Asheville’s only food hall.

If the name sounds familiar, perhaps you are thinking about the former Buxton Hall BBQ. Though it closed at the end of 2023, their legacy lives on at Buxton Chicken Palace. Here you can get their famous fried chicken sandwich with a variety of sauces– we can’t get enough of the white BBQ sauce! They also have chicken nuggets and fries.

S&W Market is a great place to grab lunch in downtown Asheville, especially if you are dining with a group with a variety of dining preferences. There’s a ton of seating inside (both upstairs and downstairs), as well as a few tables outside on Patton Ave.
