Red Ginger Dimsum and Tapas

Located in the heart of downtown Asheville, on Patton Avenue, Red Ginger Dimsum and Tapas is a fan favorite high-end Chinese restaurant. It’s the perfect spot for a date night or for celebrating a special occasion. They have a fun dining room with an open kitchen so that you can feel part of the action while your dishes are made. Or you can sit on their outdoor patio just off the sidewalk.

They have a tapas-style menu giving you a chance to select a variety of options to find out what you like best. On their menu, you will find several dumplings and other small bites including vegetarian, meat and seafood options.

We can highly recommend the Szechuan wontons and the stir-fried string beans in their garlic soy sauce. They also have a number of buns to try. We love the Gua Bao, a Chinese pancake sandwich with pork belly.

Red Ginger makes take-out easy with online ordering and 10-minute curbside parking spots right out front. Parking for dining at the restaurant can be tight on Patton Ave, but you can always park in the Coxe Avenue Garage around the block behind the restaurant.
