Sweeten Creek Brewing

Sweeten Creek Brewing is a brewery in South Asheville with a great outdoor meadow and Bear’s Smokehouse BBQ on-site. It’s an excellent brewery in Asheville for kids and dogs.

They have many beers on tap, from their signature light pilsner to several malty options. They also have a selection of IPAs, including their hoppy Asheville style IPA described as ‘East Coast meets West Coast.’

Sweeten Creek is a vibrant social space. Catch live music on Thursdays and Fridays, or test your trivia knowledge on Wednesdays. For a taste of local talent, head over on Tuesdays for open mic nights. Throughout the year, they host special events like an annual Easter egg hunt, community cook-offs, and potlucks, fostering a strong sense of community spirit.

Bear’s Smokehouse has a location at the brewery. Their BBQ menu includes pulled pork, pulled chicken, Texas kielbasa, burnt ends and more. They have great sides and some interesting entrees– like their Bear Attack (cornbread topped with mac + cheese and choice of meat.)

Bear’s even has smoked portobellos, smoked tempeh and Impossible meatloaf if you are less into the BBQ-side of things. They also have a restaurant in South Slope.
