About WNC Nature Center

The WNC Nature Center is a 42-acre zoological park located in East Asheville. It features over 60 animals that are native to Southern Appalachia.

We think of it as a cross between a nature trail and a zoo. Our kids love spotting the various animals, including black bears, river otters, coyotes and bobcats. We personally love it because it feels like a true day in nature and is really fun and laidback.
