Hillman Beer is a family-owned brewery in Asheville, NC near Biltmore Village. They have a great beer selection, outdoor seating, an awesome food menu, and are kid + dog-friendly.

Drinks At Hillman

The beer menu at Hillman includes everything from a light Nitro Pale Ale to their first brew ever–Dingaudamnit Dunkelweisen, a dark wheat bear with notes of banana nut bread. They also have several rotating specialty brews, ranging from Belgian wit sours to hard seltzers.

As far as format goes, Hillman offers flights, 32-ounce crowlers, 16-ounce pours and short pours (12oz.) They also have a few N/A options like Athletic Brewery non-alcoholic beer, Devils Foot, kombucha and soda.

Hillman Beer’s Food

Hillman Beer is known for its burgers, like their HB Signature Burger with house pickles and sauce. Their burgers are made with local grass-fed Hickory Nut Gap beef and served with chips. Hillman also has several sandwiches, including the ever-popular Reuben and a grilled cheese on sourdough.

Apart from handhelds, Hillman has salads, a rice bowl and a few sharable appetizers like soft pretzels and pimento cheese dip.

Brewery Atmosphere

It’s an especially fun brewery to visit on a nice day because of its outdoor seating. You can see some from Sweeten Creek when you pass by, but you may not know that they are actually on the creek! Picnic tables are located behind the building and it’s such a relaxing spot.
