The trail to High Falls is one of the most popular waterfall hikes in Western NC. It is known for its picturesque 150-foot waterfall cascading down a granite rock face with high water flow.

Trail length: 2-mile out and back trail; add Triple Falls for a 3-mile loop hike

Triple Falls

Triple Falls is a series of three cascading waterfalls in DuPont.

Speaking of iconic waterfalls, Triple Falls is another can’t-miss one! You may already be familiar with it from its role in the blockbuster movie The Hunger Games.

You’ll enjoy walking along the picturesque Little River as you hike upstream toward the falls.

Trail length: 1.2-mile out-and-back trail; add High Falls for a 2.3-mile out-and-back hike

Hooker Falls

Hooker Falls is a popular waterfall with a swimming hole in DuPont.

If you want to cool off on a warm day, head to Hooker Falls! It’s a shorter and more accessible waterfall trail in DuPont with a great swimming hole.

Hooker Falls is a popular spot to splash and swim in the water because of the short and easy trail available to access it. There are several rocks along the side to place your belongings.

Bridal Veil Falls

Grassy Creek Falls

Grassy Creek Falls is a lesser-known waterfall in DuPont Forest. It’s located past the covered bridge at the top of High Falls.

Many visitors turn back after reaching High Falls, giving Grassy Creek Falls a hidden gem status. It’s way less crowded and much quieter!

Grassy Creek Falls has a distinctive rock face that resembles a gentle slide. It’s reminiscent of Sliding Rock, though you can’t slide in DuPont!

Wintergreen Falls

Wintergreen Falls has a 20-foot drop, making it the smallest waterfall in Dupont Forest. It’s located at the Guion Farm access and is a 1.5-mile hike from the parking area.
