About 5 Points Restaurant
5 Points Restaurant is a great local diner in North Asheville serving up some classic comfort food for breakfast and lunch. We love their omelets, Belgian waffle and 2-egg special with sausage and hashbrowns.
5 Points Restaurant Vibe
When you walk in you are hit with the smell and sounds of an old-fashioned diner. Seating is available in booths or at the counter where you can watch the short-order cooks do their magic.
It’s a typical no-frills diner that attracts a local crowd. You’ll see UNC Asheville college students, retirees from the surrounding neighborhoods and construction workers grabbing a hearty meal before work frequenting the diner.
5 Points Restaurant Menu
Their menu has a full range of typical diner options. They serve breakfast items as well as lunch entrees, all of which fall into the comfort food category. They close at 4:00 pm on weekdays and 3:00 pm on weekends, so they are a great option for a late lunch but are not open for dinner.
Their breakfast menu includes pancakes, waffles and french toast. They also have a ton of hearty breakfast plates with a choice of protein, egg and hashbrowns, grits and biscuit options.
Their lunch menu is also extensive with all the typical options ranging from burgers to Reubens. The 5 Points diner has interesting specials including baked lasagne, greek spanakopita and ribeye steak with fries. And of course, you can order breakfast for lunch!
You can view the diner’s full menu on their website.
5 Points Restaurant Location and Parking
They are located in North Asheville on Broadway Street. It is located at the “five points” intersection of Broadway Street, Chestnut Street and Mt. Clare Avenue. The diner has its own dedicated parking lot right in front but beware: it can get full at peak times.
Other notable points of interest nearby are UNC Asheville, Botanical Gardens at Asheville, and the Merrimon commercial corridor. If you’re staying downtown, 5 Points Restaurant is about half a mile from the heart of downtown Asheville. Though it is close, it is not the most pedestrian-friendly walk unless you live/are staying close by, so we recommend taking a car.
