Our Top Picks For Luxury Hotel Stays in Asheville, NC

The Restoration

One of the newest luxury hotels in downtown Asheville is The Restoration. Located in a recently renovated space across the street from Pritchard Park, this boutique hotel in downtown Asheville has no shortage of dining and entertainment options.

What is especially striking about The Restoration is the showstopping decor throughout. Whether it’s the cool decor and funky books in the library, the high ceilings in their on-site restaurant or the natural light at their Observatory bar, you are bound to be impressed.

Something else worth mentioning is their use of Gilchrist & Soames bath products throughout the hotel. They also have Restoration bathrobes in each room to really feel at home. And what’s really great is that you can expect a certain level of cleanliness and newness given its age. It opened in the spring of 2023.

The Restoration boasts the rooftop bar The Observatory, coffee shop, speakeasy-style basement bar, and The Exchange, a farm-to-table restaurant.

And if you end up ever leaving the hotel, you will be delighted to find out it is in the middle of, well, everything. Pop next door to S&W Market to experience a food hall Asheville-style, head up to Biltmore Ave for exquisite dining, shop on Lexington Ave and don’t miss the drum circle across the street from the property on Summer Fridays!

The Inn on Biltmore Estate

The four-star Inn on Biltmore Estate will greet you with spectacular mountain views and high-end amenities throughout. From their luxuriously appointed rooms to their world-class spa and outdoor heated pool you will feel like you’re living like a Vanderbilt.

Situated within Antler Hill Village on the Biltmore Estate, a stay at The Inn will give you access to the entire Biltmore gardens and grounds. You’ll have to purchase a separate ticket for touring the Biltmore House, though.

There are four-star dining options at the Inn on Biltmore Estate as well as several other restaurants throughout the Biltmore Estate.

Kimpton Hotel Arras

If you are looking for a four-star hotel with spectacular mountain views and a luxuriously outfitted interior, look no further than the Kimpton Hotel Arras. Located in a historic bank building on Patton Avenue it is perfectly situated to explore downtown Asheville.

At the Hotel Arras you can dine at Bargello, a Mediterranean-inspired restaurant or have a drink at District 42.

The amenities at Hotel Arras abound, including spa services, a state-of-the-art fitness center including Peleton bikes, and free bike loans to explore the city.

As one of the most pet-friendly hotels in Asheville, pets stay free at Kimpton Hotel Arras. You also get access to Wag! Premium dog walking services.

The Grand Bohemian Hotel Asheville is a gorgeous Tudor-style hotel located just outside the gates of the Biltmore Estate in Biltmore Village. As you walk into the lobby you will feel like you are in an old-world hunting lodge complete with large fireplaces and wood paneling.

Treat yourself to a spa appointment at their on-site Poseidon Spa or exercise in their state-of-the-art fitness center.

There are excellent dining options at the Grand Bohemian Hotel. The Red Stag Grill is their on-site restaurant (fine dining). You can reserve a table here. Black Forest Wine Room is also on-site and can be booked for private dining.

The Foundry Hotel

The Foundry Hotel is like a luxury oasis in Asheville’s downtown. The campus is located in a historic steel factory and boasts green spaces and quiet patios throughout.

The hotel exudes a warm luxury feel with its historic buildings and brightly lit spaces. Each room is appointed with high-end furnishings and curated artwork.

You can earn Hilton Honors points with a stay at The Foundry as a member of the Hilton Curio Collection.

The Omni Grove Park Inn

The Omni Grove Park Inn is a resort-style hotel of historic significance and a landmark in Asheville. The huge property boasts rooms and restaurants with spectacular views of Asheville and the Blue Ridge Mountains.

One of its most luxurious features is the award-winning spa which is only available to overnight guests. They also have a Donald Ross-designed golf course on site.

We’ll be honest, the rooms leave a bit to be desired. But it’s an iconic spot in Asheville and the guests-only spa access is worth it.

There are plenty of dining options at the Grove Park Inn with at least six restaurants, bars and coffee shops.

AC Hotel By Marriott

The AC Hotel is an ideal choice for travelers seeking a chic and urban retreat in downtown Asheville. Combining contemporary design with a touch of European elegance, the AC Hotel offers a sophisticated and cosmopolitan experience in downtown Asheville.

The hotel’s sleek and modern aesthetic extends from the lobby to the stylishly appointed guest rooms, where comfort meets minimalist sophistication. You’ll find a fitness center on-site and pets are allowed for an additional fee.

Guests can unwind on the rooftop bar Capella on 9, enjoying panoramic views of the city and indulging in tapas and handcrafted cocktails. They serve daily breakfast at Capella on 9 and have live music often.

The four-star suite-only Windsor Boutique Hotel offers luxury home living away from home. Each suite includes separate bedrooms and living room areas complete with a kitchenette.

Located on Broadway Street, Windsor Boutique Hotel is situated in the heart of downtown Asheville. From here you can discover all the dining, breweries, shopping and sights that downtown Asheville has to offer.

Downstairs you will find C&Co Skincare and Spa which can provide spa treatments in-room or at their spa.

Haywood Park Hotel

The Haywood Park Hotel is a four-star gem located in the heart of Asheville’s downtown core. It’s just next to the Cambria Hotel detailed above.

Isa’s French Bistro is a darling restaurant located on-site. We absolutely love it for lunch in downtown Asheville, but they also offer breakfast and dinner. There are a few seats on the sidewalk and it truly has a romantic feel. We recently saw a couple get engaged at one of the tables!

The Haywood Park Hotel is situated in the historic Bon Marche department store building. It has a fun retro feel with huge bright rooms. But, be warned, they aren’t the most up-to-date rooms. Some have a European style and others have a midcentury modern aesthetic. But it’s a cool spot and definitely in a great location.

We hope this guide to luxury hotels in Asheville helps create an unforgettable experience for your next trip here.
